It's been a while since I've played, so these arrangements are somewhat of a challenge, but worth the effort. They are definitely at the skill level for intermediate to advanced players. I bought the book for two songs, Don't Cry Out Loud and Dance with My Father. I'm pleased with these arrangements but was really surprised and delighted with Bridge Over Troubled Waters and All That Jazz. If you have never tried Dan Coates' arrangements, you are in for a treat. He has put out several books for advanced players, and you can enjoy these either for yourself or play them for others. Mr. Coates takes full advantage of the entire keyboard, and one of the effects is that these arrangements can sound more difficult than they actually are to play, even in the advanced version. Another aspect that I like is that he never loses sight of the melodies and trademark rhythms, and they are chorded as you are accustomed to hearing them. This means that you will not have the experience of a "watered down" or off the wall version that happens sometimes with arrangers.
